Our work focuses primarily on the enforcement of claims for bad and/or misleading investment advice by bank advisors. But we also advise and represent our clients in other types of financial disputes with banks, such as conflicts regarding loans issued for the purpose of real estate financing (real estate loans) or in cases where losses have arisen through the use of online banking.

Even though we often pursue our activities, as explained above, in opposition to banks, we also represent banks and their issuing houses in certain cases. This applies when these entities themselves have suffered damages in the capital market as investors. In such scenarios, we have acted on behalf of banks in the past and will continue to do so. This is because our aim is not to intervene against banks as such – we are on the side of investors. So if banks, for their part, are harmed as investors by other capital market participants, we of course will be happy to advise and represent them as well.

Last but not least, we also represent our clients in complex cases that have cross-border implications. Our German clients can count on us to assist them with any proceedings and/or legal disputes abroad. Thus, we have excellent contacts to banking law specialists in various countries and can cooperate on cross-border cases as needed with colleagues in Switzerland and other countries.

We also serve as a reliable partner for foreign law firms and their clients in matters related to German and European banking law. When German banking law plays a role in an international legal dispute, for example, we act as expert advisors to foreign law firms and their clients. Depending on the engagement, we can also support them in elaborating their litigation strategy and drafting their pleadings.
